Octylisothiazolinone 45 (OIT 45 broad spectrum fungicide)

Our factory launch one type of broad-spectrum fungicide OIT 45% liquid. Commonly known as octhilinone, 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one is the active ingredient of OIT-45. With solvent of Propylene glycol or Diethylene glycol.

OIT-45 is a highly effective, industrial fungicide that exhibits excellent fungistatic and fungicidal activity against fungi, including yeasts and mold, and Gram-Positive bacteria, and limited activity against Gram-Negative bacteria. Widely used for tankside control of fungi in metalworking central systems. Used in many metalworking fluid concentrates with the appropriate stabilizer package.

Solubility

OIT-45 liquid Biocide is soluble in methanol, ethanol, propylene glycol, acetone, ethyl ether, ethyl acetate, chloroform, butyl Cellosolve, corn oil, and mineral oil.

The solubility of OIT-45 in toluene is 25% w/v.

The solubility of OIT-45 in water at 25°C is 480 ppm (active ingredient), although this may be increased by using suitable surfactants and emulsifiers.

OIT-45 is insoluble in heptane.

Widely used in Paint，inks，lubricant，shoes cream，leather chemical，wood product and cultural relic protection etc.

Safety/Operation/Toxicity：

Avoid any contact with the skin. Wear protective clothes, goggles, and rubber gloves in operation. Once touch, will be sensitive to skin.Irritating to the skin and eyes.
